PRAYER IN MOVEMENT in its expression of the Sacred Dances, it has become a WAY for WISDOM, guiding us on our journey towards the DIVINE MOTHER ESSENCE, to which the city of Bologna is closely linked.

Through movement, the Spirit may lend WINGS to the BODY and guide the SOUL in its dialogue with
THE ESSENCE OF UNIVERSAL FEMALE CREATOR

In his choreography Gabriele Wosien restores the UNIVERSAL SYMBOLS that for millennia have been the basis of ritual life of our ancestors.
In the dance these symbols become PROCESSING ARCHETYPES  and we do find, at every step in the "here and now", a new AWARENESS.

landscape designer and work-shop trainer

She invites people to learn the language of nature of Nature... in this experience we will be focused on the Water as the central source of our beings. It is part of every cell and fiber in us; it is our very essence. Could water be the common denominator that weaves us all (earth, animal, human, and plant) together as one? 
Is it the ultimate connector?

(ancient Temple of Isis built by the Romans in Bologna)

70's Anna Burton dancing in Fidnhorn

The Sacred Dances were collected by Professor Bernard Wosien University of Monaco of Bavaria, dancer and choreographer. He picked up several circle dances from the folk traditions of all countries of the world and called "Sacred Dances." In 1976 he gave this collection to the Findhorn Community.

Anna Barton, a member of Findhorn,  for twenty years (until 1996) was responsible for spreading this practice.

Maria-Gabriele Wosien, choreographer and dancer, choreographer Bernhard Wosien daughter. She teaches sacred dances with workshops and training courses in Europe and beyond (she lives in Germany, in Monaco of Bavaria). Degree in Slavic studies, Ph.D. on Russian folk tale (London / St. Petersburg).

Marisa Barbeiri, dancer and teacher in Bologna of the Italian Sacred Dance Circle. Been working for years to deepen its relationship with the Sacred Dance and teaching to groups of people in Bologna and Italy.

Isabella Guerrini

Isabella Guerrini,workshop trainer, writer and author, Isabella is sustainability advisor and landscape designer of natural healing gardens. She has created numerous programs experience for groups to re-connect the human self to Nature. Now she lives in Findhorn in Scotland, in the past she lived for many years in Bologna.
